Its official!

Well the call came in this week and I am newly employed. I've turned in my notice at the Club and my last day will be this friday and I start at Uni-Syn on Monday morning. I couldn't be more excited, but on the other hand I'm uber nervous about it. I've worked here for almost 6 years to the day but its time to move on and start putting this education to use. I'll be part-time for now, and hopefully when I graduate I will be moved up to a full-time position, rightous. The best part about it, no more 2-8 shifts for me, all day time. I'm getting less hours than I do here but making the same with the minimum hours I'll get a week and al durring the day, gnar! Two thumbs up for the newest graphic designer on the block. Lata on.

Whats happening now

So I just posted the new site, its at about 80% right now I'd say. The portfolio section isn't up and there are just a couple little things here and there that need some fixin' but I wanted to launch it anyway, so here it is. On the job front, its looking pretty good, I had to go take a drug screening at the begining of this week so I'm waiting on the results of that and the background check, I'm hoping to hear from them at the begining of the week and hopefully get hired here real soon. Its been good other than I got a bill from a gas company in Pittsburgh for service I had disconnected six months ago, but got that all straightened out so all is good once again.

Job Interview

So had my first interview yesterday, looks pretty promising I must say. I met with the creative director and had to do a photoshop test to make sure I know what I am doing, and I do so thats awsome. I'm just waiting on the call from the HR guy to set up my second interview, crossin' the fingers. I'll keep it posted.

The First Post

Well this is the first post on the new "news" section. I launched the new look today, just a temporary page though, hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll get a more complete site going on. I probably going to wait on the portfolio section for a bit though so I can really get a bunch of good stuff together and get it all posted at once so I don't just create a ton of extra work for myself. So hope everyone likes the new logo and the totally different look I decided to go with. I do, its way more pleasing than the old super dark and grungy look I had before.

Well other than the new site, I'm still on the hunt for a job. So far it isn't really going all that well I must say. I haven't managed to get an interview yet so thats kind of dishartening, but I'm sure everything will work out so I'm just going to keep at it. Statistically by the amount of
resumes I've given out I'm bound to get a call back, its just the nature of the universe. So wish we luck and hopefully I'll get something here pretty soon, because honestly I need to get out of here and get a new job. Oh ya, the new resume is up too, way nicer than the old Word formatted one, maybe that'll help me.
